Check the daily and local restrictions

Overnight parking is allowed on most streets unless snow-clearing or ice-removal operations are expected or occurring. Notices are issued by 4 p.m. Residents must check rather than assume a clear forecast means permission.

The three notice zones are city-wide, downtown and hospital areas. A notice can cover one or several zones. Hospital coverage concerns both The Moncton Hospital and the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre areas.

Use alerts and signs together

The Moncton Alerts dashboard shows notices and supports text or email subscription. A midnight-to-7 a.m. ban can lead to tickets and towing if ignored.

Seasonal restrictions on narrow streets, ordinary no-parking zones and other temporary restrictions continue. A snow-ban alert is not a replacement for the sign beside the space.

Daytime snow hauling

Temporary snow-clearing signs can require moving the vehicle during the day. Remove it and use another location until operations finish and signs are removed.

Clearing may happen up to 24 hours after signs are placed. Do not return simply because a plow has not yet arrived. City questions go to 506-853-3333 or info@moncton.ca.
