JMC is partnering with LCL Group of Companies to recruit a Director of Finance. This full-time, in-person opportunity can be based in Moncton or the Campbellton/Charlo area, New Brunswick, with occasional travel to other offices and project sites.
LCL is a growing, family-owned construction group that builds the roads, water mains, and sewer systems communities depend on. With established operations and continued growth, LCL is looking for a finance leader who can strengthen financial operations, develop its accounting team, and help guide the business forward.
Reporting to the President, the Director of Finance will take ownership of accounting and finance across the group. Working closely with leadership and Operations, you will turn financial information into practical insights, improve systems and processes, and support sound business decisions.
What You’ll Do
- Lead accounting operations, month-end and year-end close, financial statements, and consolidated reporting.
- Oversee construction job costing, work-in-progress reporting, project forecasts, and margin analysis.
- Manage budgets, cash-flow forecasting, working capital, and financial planning.
- Partner with Operations to assess project profitability, equipment costs, and capital investments.
- Strengthen internal controls, streamline processes, and improve Acumatica ERP and related systems.
- Lead and develop the accounting team while managing relationships with external accountants, lenders, and advisors.
- Provide financial recommendations that support strategic decisions and continued growth.
What You Bring
- At least seven years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including a senior accounting or financial management role.
- Experience leading an accounting team and taking ownership of financial operations.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, internal controls, budgeting, forecasting, and multi-company accounting.
- Construction accounting, job costing, and work-in-progress experience are strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and Excel. Acumatica experience is an asset.
- A CPA designation is preferred, though strong relevant experience will be considered.
- A practical, accountable leadership style, with the confidence to challenge assumptions and communicate clearly with financial and operational teams.
